To improve data extraction results you might need to reformat the documents before you start the data extraction process. Typical operations include removing unneeded pages, rotating pages to fix skew and splitting a page into more than one page.
To reformat the documents go to Format Document.
The first step is to select one or more documents to be edited.
Once you're done click on "Next".
One common operation is to create a new document with a subset of the pages of the original document(s).
Make sure pop-ups are allowed so the download is successful.
To remove a page, select it by clicking on it and then click on "Delete / Undo". To put the page back, select it by clicking on it and click on "Delete / Undo" again.
You can rotate pages 90, 180 and 270 degrees or choose a custom rotation angle. To get started click on "Rotate". Select the rotation:
When a page is rotated the top of the page will have an arrow or an angle in degrees.
Sometimes it's useful to split a page into multiple pages. E.g. a document might contain multiple bank statements or tax forms per page.
To split a page click on "Split". You can split pages both horizontally and vertically.
When a page is split the top of the page will have the number of horizontal and vertical pages (e.g. 2 x 3).
Once you're done with removing, rotating or splitting the pages, click on "Apply Changes". DocuClipper will create a new document and put it in the "Downloads" folder.
Make sure pop-ups are allowed so the download is successful.
