How it works

  1. 1

    Upload PDF brokerage statement

Drop a digital or scanned brokerage PDF, single account or multi-account, into the upload widget below.

  2. 2

    Holdings + activity extracted

DocuClipper detects the broker and extracts positions, buys/sells, dividends, interest, and the period summary into structured tables.

  3. 3

    Reconcile against the statement

Period-start and period-end values are reconciled against the statement's printed summary so you know which files extracted cleanly.

  4. 4

    Download to Excel

Export an .xlsx workbook with separate Holdings, Activity, Income, and Summary sheets. CSV is also available per sheet.

Frequently asked questions

Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Vanguard, Merrill (Lynch and Edge), E*TRADE, Robinhood, and Interactive Brokers at launch. Detection is automatic (you don't pick a template), and additional brokers come online as we add them.
An .xlsx workbook with up to four sheets: Holdings (positions, cost basis, market value), Activity (every buy, sell, dividend, interest, fee, and transfer line), Income (dividends, interest, capital-gains distributions broken out per security), and Summary (period-start, period-end, net change, deposits, withdrawals). Empty sheets are omitted when a statement doesn't include that block.
Yes. DocuClipper runs OCR on scanned and image PDFs before extraction, so older paper statements or photographed copies convert the same way as digital downloads.
Yes. The Summary sheet's period-end value is reconciled against the statement's printed ending balance, and total market value across the Holdings sheet ties back to the same figure. Discrepancies are flagged in-app before export.
Yes. This converts the full monthly or quarterly brokerage statement (holdings + activity + summary + income), not just realized-sale tax data. 1099-B import is a separate workflow we don't currently provide.
Yes. Upload twelve monthly Fidelity PDFs (or a mixed batch across brokers) and download one workbook per statement, or merge into a multi-tab annual workbook for portfolio-review work.
Each sheet (Holdings, Activity, Income, Summary) is also available as a separate CSV download. JSON is available via API for programmatic workflows.
