DocuClipper

Audit Log

Enable audit logging to track every sign-in, edit, and deletion on your account, then download a CSV for compliance review.

The audit log records every action taken on your DocuClipper account: sign-ins, document uploads, edits, exports, deletions, and permission changes. It is off by default and must be turned on by an account admin.

Where to find it

Go to Settings → Exports & Audit (/account?section=exports). The Audit log card is at the bottom of that page.

Turning audit logging on

  1. On the Exports & Audit page, find the Audit log card.
  2. Toggle Enable audit logging to on.
  3. You'll see a confirmation that audit logging is enabled.

Once enabled, DocuClipper starts recording all subsequent activity. Actions taken before you turned logging on are not retroactively captured.

Downloading the audit log

Click Download audit log (CSV) at any time to export a CSV of all recorded events. Each row includes:

  • Timestamp
  • User email
  • Event type (sign-in, upload, edit, delete, export, permission change, etc.)
  • Resource affected (job ID, document name, user)
  • IP address

The download includes all events since logging was first enabled on your account.

Turning audit logging off

Toggle the switch back to off. Existing log records are preserved, so you can still download the history even after disabling.

Who can access this

The Exports & Audit section is visible to all account members, but only contract admins can toggle audit logging on or off. Standard users can download the log if they have account access.
