Automations: Dropbox
Watch a Dropbox folder and convert PDFs into structured data automatically.
This guide covers the Dropbox specifics for an automation.
Connect Dropbox
- Open Automations → New automation.
- Pick your document type, then choose Dropbox as the input.
- Click Connect Dropbox. You'll be redirected to Dropbox's OAuth consent screen.
- After returning to DocuClipper, pick the folder to watch.
DocuClipper only requests access to the folders you select, not your full Dropbox.
How it works
- New PDFs in the watched folder are pulled in on the automation's schedule.
- Processed files are marked internally so you don't see duplicate runs for the same file.
- You can send converted files to a separate Dropbox output folder, or have the automation call a webhook with the extracted data.
Disconnecting
Open Manage Integrations, find the Dropbox connection, and click Disconnect. Any automations using it will pause until you reconnect.
