Does DocuClipper Have a Desktop App?
DocuClipper is a web-only app, here's why, and how to use it offline-style from any browser.
Short answer: no dedicated desktop app. DocuClipper is a web application. Sign in at www.docuclipper.com/app from any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) and everything works out of the box, no install, no download.
A mobile app is available for scanning and uploading documents on the go. To connect it, go to Settings → Mobile App in your account and scan the QR code.
Why web-only
- No install: IT teams don't need to provision anything.
- Always up to date: new features land for everyone simultaneously.
- Works on any OS: Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS all use the same interface.
- Secure by default: your documents never leave our infrastructure; there's no local file to back up, lose, or leak.
"Install" as a PWA
If you prefer a dock/taskbar icon, DocuClipper runs as a Progressive Web App. In Chrome or Edge:
- Open www.docuclipper.com/app.
- Click the install icon in the address bar (a small monitor with a down arrow), or go to the browser menu → Install app.
- DocuClipper will appear in your Start menu / Applications folder like any other app, but under the hood it's still the same web app.
Automating from your desktop
If you want hands-off document processing without opening the app at all, use:
- Automations: drop PDFs into Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or OneDrive and have DocuClipper process them on a schedule.
- Webhooks: get HTTP callbacks into your own systems when a job finishes.
