Resolving The "Account Not Displayed" Issue In QuickBooks
Fix the QuickBooks Web Connect error where the imported account doesn't appear: check the routing and account numbers in DocuClipper's QBO download options, then re-download.
Last updated
When you import a QBO Web Connect file into QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks occasionally can't display the account to match the transactions against. This is almost always caused by the routing and account numbers embedded in the file.
Why it happens
QuickBooks uses the routing number and account number inside the QBO Web Connect file to identify which account the transactions belong to. DocuClipper writes these from the values you set in the QBO download options — and it uses placeholder digits by default. If they don't match a real account you've set up in QuickBooks, QuickBooks has nothing to display.
How to fix it
- Re-open the QBO download options for the project (Download → QuickBooks / Web Connect
.QBO). - Enter your real Routing number and Account number, and pick the correct account type (Checking, Savings, or Credit Card). Replace the default placeholder digits with the numbers for the actual account.
- Re-download the QBO Web Connect file and import it into QuickBooks again.

If QuickBooks still doesn't offer the account, confirm the same account is already set up in QuickBooks and that its account type matches what you selected in DocuClipper.
